Noise Abatement Resolution Tredyffrin Township Chester County, Pennsylvania WHEREAS, quality of life issues are very important to residents of Tredyffrin Township and in particular to residents along the route 202 corridor, and WHEREAS, construction along Section 300 of route 202 will impact the quality of life of residents along that section of the route 202 corridor, and WHEREAS, the Great Valley Association, on behalf of its members and other residents of the corridor, has persevered in its efforts to mitigate the effects of the proposed construction along Section 300 on the quality of life of residents along the Route 202 corridor, BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED: 1. That the Board of Supervisors of Tredyffrin Township fully supports the efforts of the Great Valley Association to ensure that the quality of life of residents in the Route 202 corridor not be degraded by the proposed construction in Section 300; 2. That the Board of Supervisors requests of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, to the extent that is both technologically and economically feasible, utilize its maximum noise abatement efforts to avoid degrading the environment along Section 300; and 3. That furthermore, the Board of Supervisors of Tredyffrin Township resolves to appoint a liaison to participate with the Great Valley Association to ensure the protection and preservation of the quality of life of residents affected by the proposed construction in Section 300 of Route 202. Passed and approved this 24th day of February, 2003.
