The members of board of the Great Valley Association attend and participate in state, local, and civic meetings that affect the Great Valley.  The pertinent  information is discussed, options are developed and disseminated to the membership.  Based on the responses of the members, GVA positions are presented to the appropriate parties.   The most important role of the GVA is to inform the residents of the Great Valley on matters that effect the quality of life in our neighborhood.

Although not all members will be in agreement with all GVA positions, each member will enjoy the opportunity to influence the result and to participate in a united front to assure the quality of life in the Great Valley.

Here a few of the accomplishments of the Great Valley Association:

  • Formed the Turnpike Committee to ensure that appropriate sound absorptive walls are errected along the turnpike when it is expanded thorugh Tredyffrin Township.  The GVA Turnpike Committee worked with the Township to create a new sound level  ordinance for new highway construction.
  • Funded independent noise study helping to insure sound deterrent walls along Route 202
  • Forced the utility companies to use underground lines on North Valley Road
  • Planted horse chestnut trees on North Valley Road
  • Contained the Warner Quarry expansion threatening Saint Peter's Church   located off Church Road
  • Worked to improve traffic flow on Cedar Hollow and loop roads
