The
meeting was called to order at 7:35. Those in attendance were Bob
Copel, Bob
Graeff, Bob O’Leary, John Coffin, Lou Erdelan, Cathy Lucas, Anita and
Tom
Lawson, Jane Charpentier, Albert Charpentier, and Polly Hagan. There were no minutes at this time from the
December meeting. The treasurer’s report for January was accepted.
Zoning – Notification of neighbors as
to a zoning change will be done before a zoning change takes place.
This is an
issue concerning
Planning – There will not be cluster
development on the
Paoli redevelopment – There is a meeting coming
up with Willistown, and
There is no sewer update on the possibility
of connecting to the
Route 202 – A group of concerned
citizens from Pineview and Jonathan Drives met to discuss the increased
noise
on 202. PennDOT took new readings which they said were the same as
before,
those being 6-10 dbs. lower than residents had measured. The residents
will
continue to work for the installation of higher sound walls than are
proposed
Turnpike – The Board of Supervisors
has written a letter of support for the inclusion of sound walls on the
turnpike in the township along with the turnpike widening. Thanks to
Bob
O’Leary and the Planning Commission for supporting this idea also.
Supervisor
Paul Drucker is helping to develop a township noise ordinance. Township
Manager
Mimi Gleason said that the turnpike will have to abide by such an
ordinance.
She also stated that the turnpike must abide by our storm water
ordinance. In
order to pay for a sound engineering study the group is going to have
to raise
money. The money would be held by GVA and dispersed by them in
accordance with
a plan made by the turnpike subcommittee and the GVA Board. Urban
Engineers may
not have followed the protocol they were to follow in their sound study
paid
for by the turnpike. They did not measure the speed of the vehicles on
the road
and the variations in terrain along the road. The subcommittee will
meet on
January 17t
Swedesford and N.Valley Roads – The Township
is planning to realign and widen the
intersection, widening each road to three lanes and straightening the
intersection. Once the plan is in place, it will be hard to change. So,
the
subcommittee working on that issue will have to come up with an
alternate plan
to present to the township.
The meeting was adjourned at 9.
